What are Goals?
Goals track cumulative progress toward a target over time. For example, "Get 600 sign-ups this year" or "Reach 10,000 website sessions this quarter". As conversions or metrics accumulate, your progress bar fills up toward the target.
Goals appear in the Goals & KPIs section alongside your KPIs.
Goals vs KPIs
- Goals track cumulative progress — a running total that builds up toward a target amount over a period
- KPIs track current performance — whether a metric meets a threshold right now (e.g. "CTR above 2%")
Creating a Goal
Go to Goals & KPIs and click Create Goal.
1. Name your goal
Give it a clear name like "Q1 Purchase Target" or "2026 Lead Generation".
2. Choose a conversion to track
Select which GA4 conversion event to count toward the goal (e.g. "purchase", "generate_lead", "sign_up"). You can also set a custom value per conversion if needed.
3. Select which accounts to include
Pick the GA4 property that contains your conversion data.
4. Set your target
Enter the target number you want to reach (e.g. 600 conversions).
5. Set the time period
Choose when the goal starts and ends. Fyr will track progress within this window.
Reading your Goal card
Each Goal shows:
- Progress bar — How far along you are toward the target
- Current count — How many conversions have been recorded so far
- Target — The number you're aiming for
- Time remaining — How long until the goal period ends
- Projected completion — Based on current pace, whether you're likely to hit the target
Goal details
Click a Goal card to see:
- A chart showing conversions over time vs the target pace
- Breakdown by traffic source (which channels are driving conversions)
- A heatmap showing when conversions happen (day of week × hour)
Editing or deleting a Goal
Click into a Goal and use the edit or delete buttons. You can adjust the target, time period, or conversion type at any time.
Pinning Goals
Goals can be pinned to your Activity Feed sidebar and to custom dashboards using the Goal Card widget, giving you quick visibility without navigating to the Goals page.
