What are Custom Dashboards?
Dashboards let you build your own views of the data that matters most. Add widgets for different metrics, arrange them how you like, and share them with your team or clients.
Creating a dashboard
- Go to Dashboards and click Create Dashboard
- Choose to start from scratch or use a template
- Give your dashboard a name
Adding widgets
Click Add widget to choose from:
- Stat Card — A single metric with comparison (e.g. "Total Clicks: 12,450 ↑15%")
- Line Chart — Trends over time
- Bar Chart — Compare values across categories
- Pie Chart — Show proportions (e.g. spend by channel)
- Data Table — Detailed rows of data with sortable columns
- Heatmap — Activity by day of week and hour
- Post Card — Social media post previews with metrics
- Goal Card — Track progress toward a goal
- KPI Card — Monitor a KPI target
- Competitor widgets — Competitor data for Share of Search and social monitoring
Each widget has a configuration wizard where you select the data source, metrics, filters, and display options.
Configuring a widget
The widget wizard walks you through:
- Widget type — Choose the visualization
- Data source — Select which area (Ad Performance, Website Analytics, Social Media, etc.)
- Resources — Pick specific accounts
- Metrics — Choose what to measure
- Filters — Narrow down by campaigns, tags, dimensions, etc.
- Options — Customize the title, date range, comparison period, and display settings
Organizing your dashboard
- Drag and drop — Rearrange widgets by dragging them
- Resize — Drag widget edges to make them larger or smaller
- Tabs — Organize widgets into tabs for different topics (e.g. "Overview", "Social", "SEO")
- Colors — Customize the dashboard color scheme in settings
Dashboard settings
Click the gear icon to access:
- Name and description
- Tab management — Add, rename, reorder, or delete tabs
- Color theme — Choose colors for charts and accents
- Sharing — Make the dashboard public with a shareable link (optionally password-protected)
Sharing dashboards
Toggle sharing on to generate a public link. Anyone with the link can view the dashboard — no Fyr login required. Optionally set a password for extra security. Great for sharing with clients who don't have a Fyr account.
Templates
Don't want to start from scratch? Choose a template when creating a dashboard. Templates come pre-configured with common widget layouts for different use cases.
Dashboards vs Reports
Dashboards always show live, up-to-date data. Every time you open a dashboard, it fetches the latest numbers.
Reports capture a snapshot of data at the time of creation. They're designed for sharing a fixed view (like a monthly report) that won't change after it's been sent.
