Feature Request: "Contains" Function for Dashboard Filters
I’m currently building a new report and noticed that the dashboard is missing a "CONTAINS" function. For example, I’m trying to filter only paid traffic. Right now, I can do this by selecting all sources that contain "Cpc" or "paid".
The issue arises if I later add a new channel to the mix — then I have to remember to manually update the filter. This becomes an even bigger challenge with referral traffic, which I also want to filter for, since referral sources are constantly changing.
Would it be possible to develop a filtering option with "Contains", ideally with support for AND/OR rules as well?

Hi again Adrian Krogenæs,
Just a quick update on this;
We've now looked into different approaches to fix this, and found a relatively quick fix to incorporate this into the widget settings for GA4 specific data. We'll add a new and improved filter option that allows you to either select specific dimensions from a drop-down list (multiple select), or select dimensions that “contains <text>”.
On top of that, we will also make the filter more dynamic by allowing you to select any dimension from GA4 as part of this filter, not only source/medium.
We are not 100% set on the timeline on this yet, but we assume we will be able to have something ready already this week :)
All the best,

Hi Adrian Krogenæs,
Thanks for the valuable feedback!
Based on your feedback we've started to look into if there's any quick fix solution for the existing filter to make this work. Will get back to you as soon as we know more in detail.
FYI - we're also currently working on a more longer term solution for making the dashboard setup more flexible, with introducing segments and breakdowns for tables. With this functionality, you will be able to filter on any segment we make available (including dimensions from GA4), and you will be able to filter on both existing and potential future data within the various segments (similar to what you're requesting in this post).
All the best,
Joakim0
