Conversions in Ad Performance
Conversions in the Ad Performance view is collected from each individual third-party network (e.g. Meta Ads). Please note that conversions in this view differs from conversions reported in the "Website Analytics" view. The "Website Analytics" view collects conversions from your analytics software, and not the third-party network.
In the Ad Performance view, you will discover all conversions designated as such by third-party networks, alongside any custom conversions configured within each specific network.
In the Ad Performance view, you have the capability to broaden the table rows, allowing for a more detailed examination of conversions categorized by conversion groups. Moreover, within each conversion group, the option to expand further is available, providing a granular view of specific conversions. This functionality enhances the depth of analysis and facilitates a more comprehensive understanding of the data.
Approaches to counting conversions
Different platforms can use different standards for when a conversion is counted in reporting. The two most common are:
1. Time of conversion event
The conversion is registered at the moment the action actually happens (e.g. when a purchase is completed or a form is submitted).
2. Time of ad interaction
The conversion is attributed back to the time of the ad interaction (e.g. the click), even if the actual conversion happened later.
-
In Fyr, we use the time of the ad interaction whenever possible.
-
This is also the standard in many third-party networks.
-
Example: if someone clicks an ad on Monday but purchases on Friday, the conversion will be logged under Monday’s data.
Because of these different approaches, you may notice discrepancies when comparing reports from Fyr with third party networks.
