Getting started with Ad Performance
Ad Performance is where you monitor all your paid advertising in one place. This guide walks you through the key features.
Navigating the page
Open Ad Performance from the Marketing menu. You'll see stat cards at the top, a trend chart in the middle, and a detailed data table below.
Choosing your metrics
Click any stat card to make it the active metric for the chart. Common metrics include:
- Impressions, Clicks, CTR
- Cost, CPC, CPM
- Conversions, Conversion Value, ROAS
- Video views, Engagement, Outbound Clicks
Use Edit columns above the table to customize which metrics appear as columns.
Drilling into your data
The table works like a hierarchy:
- Start at Campaigns — see all campaigns across channels
- Click a campaign to see its Ad Groups
- Click an ad group to see individual Ads with creative previews
At each level, expand the conversion row to see conversions broken down by group and type.
Comparing data
- Select rows — Check the boxes next to specific campaigns or ad groups, then click "Compare" to isolate them in the chart
- Comparison period — Enable in the date picker to see period-over-period changes in the table (green/red indicators)
- Separate resources — Toggle this to see each ad account as its own line in the chart, rather than combined
Filtering
- Resources — Choose which ad accounts to include
- Channels — Show only specific platforms (e.g. only Google Ads)
- Tags — Filter by your custom tags
- Conversion Groups — Show only specific conversion types
- Search — Find campaigns or ads by name
Using tags for organization
Select one or more campaigns or ads and assign tags to group them — for example, "Brand", "Prospecting", or "Retargeting". Then use the tag filter to analyze performance by segment across all channels.
Annotations
Click any point on the chart to add an annotation — a note marking a specific date (campaign launch, budget change, seasonal event, etc.). Annotations appear on all charts across the platform for that date.
Calculated metrics
If you've created custom calculated metrics (under Settings → Calculated Metrics), they appear alongside standard metrics in the column selector and stat cards.
