What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets you connect AI tools like Claude Desktop to your Fyr account. Once connected, you can use natural language to ask questions about your data, create dashboards, pull metrics, and more — all through your AI assistant.
Find this under Settings → MCP Applications.
Connecting Claude Desktop
The easiest way to get started:
- Open the MCP Applications page in Fyr
- Copy the connection URL shown on the page
- In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Connectors and paste the URL
- Authorize the connection in your browser when prompted
That's it — Claude Desktop handles the technical setup automatically.
What AI tools can do once connected
With a connected AI tool, you can ask things like:
- "Show me my top campaigns by conversions this month"
- "Create a dashboard with Facebook and Google ad performance"
- "What was my website traffic last week compared to the week before?"
- "Pull e-commerce revenue by product for the last 30 days"
The AI can access campaign metrics, website analytics, e-commerce data, social media metrics, search console data, goals, tags, annotations, and reports.
Managing applications
On the MCP Applications page you can:
- See all registered AI connections
- Copy the client ID for a connection
- Generate a new access token
- Regenerate the client secret (this disconnects existing sessions)
- Delete a connection entirely
Advanced: Custom applications
If you're building your own AI tool or using something other than Claude Desktop, expand Advanced Settings to manually register a custom application. You'll choose a name and application type (public or confidential).
Token lifetime
Access tokens last 30 days and refresh tokens last 60 days. Tokens renew automatically, so you shouldn't need to reconnect unless you regenerate the client secret or delete the application.
