"Lock dates" in custom dashboards

I would like the option to “lock dates” in my custom dashboard. I want the date selected/shown to be static, and it should not be possible for the user in view/shared mode to change the dates. This way, I can make comments using a textbox regarding the data shown, and the context will always be valid. If the user is able to change dates, the textual comments might not make any sense.
