We've implemented significant updates to the click tracking mechanism within Fyr. Previously, our methodology counted every interaction within a third-party network ad, encompassing actions such as clicking on profile names in social channels. Now, with the latest changes, "Clicks" in Fyr refer specifically to the number of clicks on links embedded within ads leading to advertiser-specified destinations, irrespective of whether they direct users within or outside the third-party channel.
The calculation of "clicks" metrics, such asCTRandCPC,has beenadjusted to reflect the changesintroduced in this update.
Here are some instances that now constitute "Clicks":
- Clicks on URL links within ad text descriptions.
- Click-throughs to websites or app stores directly from ad links.
- Clicks on images or call-to-action buttons within ads utilizing the Traffic objective on Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
Conversely, examples that were previously classified as "Clicks" but are now excluded include:
- Social engagement metrics like post likes, comments, or shares.
- Clicks leading to Facebook Pages, Instagram profiles, and similar destinations.
- Interactions such as expanding photos or videos to full screen.
Recognising the continued importance of insights derived from the latter category, we've introduced a new metric titled"Clicks (All)"to encompass all interactions captured within the third-party channel - you will find this metric in the Marketing Performance table (scroll right).
